Kent

A verdant contemporary garden with several secluded areas for relaxation or dining, and that has elements of food productivity integrated into the design of the luscious planting.

This small garden in rural Kent comprising of three distinct sections divided by two large raised beds, filled with perrenials with a focus on productivity, and a perferrated brick wall that partially screens the rear of the garden to create a greater scene of depth. The perferrated brick adds further intrest by casting a patterned shadow as light shine through the wall.

Kentish ragstone setts and local gravel make up the hard landscaping surfaces. A palatte of drought tolerant plants were chosen for this scheme some of which are planted directly into the gravel, with self seeding encouraged to add a dynamism to the garden from year to year.
